In this presentation I will address how to design and install a LMS with DALI and KNX and the technology of motion and occupancy detectors. How to link the Lighting Management System to a BMS, benefits and framework with legislation and Energy Efficient Certification Programs, such as with LEED, AQUA and Others.

Miguel is the Global Business Developer for Building Automation at B.E.G. supporting the international subsidiaries in developing and selling light management solutions. He started at B.E.G. in the Portuguese Branch as technical director developing the market turning BEG brand the most known lighting control specialists in Portugal. Miguel is an Electrical engineer with 2 post graduations in Business Management and Project Management and is also a KNX Tutor. With a huge experience in Sales, Marketing and Business Development his career has been established developing and selling Building Automation solutions using KNX and DALI with special focus for Energy Efficiency. Experience has been gained working for companies such as Siemens and has been deeply involved in developing several of the most important KNX Projects in Portugal. At B.E.G. since 2017 is member of KNX National Group and Lighting working group from AGEFE (National Association for Manufacturers and Wholesalers for Electrical Sector and Electronics), actively participated on the definition of Legislation for Energy Efficiency in Buildings. Miguel strongly believes that training people on using the best control and management solutions, will deliver the best energy efficiency solutions for buildings.
