Closing the Performance Gap: How Smart Building technology drives operational efficiency and productivity

Wednesday 12th October 14:30 - 15:15

Management

The operational energy consumption of a building can be five to ten times higher than that predicted at the design stage. The difference between this anticipated and actual performance is known as the performance gap, a prominent issue within the built environment that if not addressed, will have major implications on net zero goals.

How can we close the building energy performance gap? What role does smart building technology have to play? How can we utilise digital twin technology to achieve operational efficiencies and meet certifications such as NABERS UK?

In this session, we’ll be discussing the delivery of truly smart buildings using real examples from our collaboration with leading developers, and how the technology implemented can boost operational efficiency whilst creating productive, healthy spaces for building users.
