In todays increasingly complex and integrated built environment it can be hard to find a starting point for implementing energy reduction and sustainability strategies..
Join me to discuss, what is considered a smart building, some of the drivers in the smart building sector, the benefits of enhanced system integration, and the future landscape of the built environment.
We will unpack no-cost / low-cost methods for fully utilising the existing tools on site to achieve optimum building performance, as well as the potential of accurate control strategies and the BMS network in unlocking capability in smart building applications and data driven decision making.
Trend Control Systems
Following my degree I worked in practical Archaeology before transferring my geotechnical skills into the growing UK Renewable Energy industry.
I have worked in building services since 2007, initially specialising in heat pumps and their integration with other renewable technologies.
I built on my technical and industry knowledge, along with project and people management skills, in positions for a multi-technology solution provider, two equipment manufacturers [prior to my current employer], and a high-end design and project company.
I am currently a Senior Design Support Partner for Trend Control Systems, part of the Honeywell Group. In this role I am responsible for ensuring the sound design, technical development, and project management of complex projects on behalf of end-users and contractors.
