The role of the BMS continues to evolve. However, one area that’s frequently overlooked in large residential schemes is how it can be successfully and seamlessly integrated with audio-visual (AV) systems to create a fully functioning smart home that also meets the comfort, convenience and aesthetic demands of the occupants. This talk from CEDIA-award winning company Imperium Building Systems will explain why deeper integration between BMS and AV is so important in this type of project, the barriers to integration and how these barriers can be effectively overcome to the benefit of all parties involved.
With almost 25 years industry experience across both the BMS Controls and later the Audio Visual industries Chris’s development came from a 15 year career working for Trend Controls, part of the Honeywell Corporation. Initially training as a BMS engineer, he spent a number of years managing and maintaining BMS installations before moving into a business development role helping developers, consultants and integrators design, specify and sell integrated control systems for significant commercial and residential developments.
Eventually leaving corporate employment to focus on BMS and Audio Visual Control solutions in the luxury residential market, Chris joined Imperium Building Systems Ltd, a highly specialist controls and integration business with a considerable track record for designing and installing solutions in some of the most prestigious, luxury residential properties in the world.
